国際学会発表 -MCHA95

MCHA95(Music and Concert Hall Acoustics: 音楽とコンサートホール音響学のための国際会議)にて、A Sound Simulation System for Seat Selection の発表を行う。

アブストラクト
A Sound Field Simulation applicable to a seat selection system and a concert ticket issuing system
As a service to those who make use of the concert hall, Miyama Conceru has come up with a system for providing tickets for seats that match the audio preferences of the patron (a seat selection ticket reservation and issuing system).
This system is implemented by acoustical devices installed in a sound field simulation room and a computer system. In addition to these systems, a system can be built that comprehensively handles the basic operations needed for managing a hall , including event control, customer control, booking and renting out of facilities, and ticket reservation and sales consignment.

"New diagnostic system measuring orthogonal factors and calculating subjective attributes of sound fields in a real room"
Masatugu Sakurai (Yoshimasa Erectronic Inc., Yoyogi, Sibuya, Tokyo 151 Japan, Graduate School of Science and Technology, Kobe Univ., Nada, Kobe 657 Japan) and Shinichi Aizawa (Yoshimasa Erectronic Inc., Yoyogi, Sibuya, Tokyo 151 Japan) and Yoichi Ando (Graduate School of Science and Technology, Kobe Univ., Nada, Kobe 657 Japan)
Based on the model of auditory-brain system which consists of the autocorrelation mechanism, the interaural crosscorrelation mechanism between the both auditory pathways, and the specialization of human cerebral hemispheres, a new diagnostic system was developed. The system works on PC for Windows, thus it is no need for special additional devices. After obtaining the impulse response, four orthogonal factors including the SPL, the initial time delay gap between the direct sound and the first reflection, the subsequent reverberation time and IACC are analyzed for the calculation of the scale values of global and individual subjective preference. In addition to the four factors, two more factors, tIACC and WIACC, in the interaural crosscorrelation function are figured out for evaluating the image shift of sound source and the apparent source width (ASW), respectively. Also, the effective duration, te, and fine structures of autocorrelation function of sound signals including the value of first maximum, f1 and its delay time t1 are analyzed. Keeping the subjectively optimal condition, this system may be utilized for automatic control of sound fields by electroacoustic systems. The new system will be demonstrated at the presentation of this paper.

Further, the system is available on internet, where a user can obtain further information about the system, and utilize it easily in practice by the download of a demonstration program. In addition, two more factors, tIACC and WIACC in the interaural crosscorrelation function are figured out for evaluating the image shift or balance of sound fields and the apparent source width (ASW), respectively. Also, the effective duration of ACF, te, and fine structures of autocorrelation function of sound signals including the value of first maximum, f1 and its delay time t1 are analyzed. This system may be utilized for automatic control of sound fields by electroacoustic systems also.

A Computational Software System of the Noise Identification.
Masatsugu Sakurai and Yoichi Ando (Graduate School of Science and Technology, Kobe University, Rokkodai, Nada, Kobe 657-8501 Japan)

アブストラクト
Based on the model of auditory-brain system, this system was developed for environmental noise measurements and identification of noise with directional and spatial information. The system including the AD and DA converters works on PC for Windows, thus it is no need for special additional devices. The system is available on Internet, where a user can obtain further information about the system, and utilize it easily in practice by the download of a demonstration program. The acoustic signals are picked up at two microphones located at the ear-entrances of a real head or dummy head for each measuring point. Collected data are analyzed by both of the autocorrelation funcntion and the interaural crosscorreration function due to the model. The orthogonal factors extracted from both functions are utilized for identification of noise sources, and the subjective evaluations.

Computational Systems for Sound Fields, as Tools in Design and Diagnosis
Masatsugu Sakurai (Graduate School of Science and Technology, Kobe University)

アブストラクト
The concept of these systems are based on the model of human auditory-brain system including the autocorrelation mechanisms, interaural cross-correlation mechanism, and the specialization of the human cerebral hemispheres. Thesis consists of following four parts:

Computer simulation system for calculating the four orthogonal factors (LL, Dt1, Tsub and IACC) at each seat using architectural drawings were developed. The accuracy of this system were examined by comparing the calculated factors with the measured ones at Kirishima International Concert Hall.
The diagnostic system to measure the four orthogonal factors and additional factors (tIACC, WIACC and A-value) was developed. This system can be used for the measurement in the scale model. The effect of the reflectors' array above stage which can not calculate at the design stage was evaluated at the scale model measurement of Tsuyama music cultural hall.
As an application of the subjective preference theory, seat selection system to maximize the preference of each individual was developed. This system, which is installed in Kirishima International concert hall, can find the seat where the preference is maximized by the paired comparison test with respect to the four orthogonal factors.
Noise measurement system to measure and identify the environment noise using the factors extracted from the autocorrelation function (F(0), te, t1 and f1) and the factors extracted from the interaural crosscorrelation function (IACC, tIACC and WIACC) was developed. As an example, noises from different car engines were characterized by these factors measured by this system.

A computational software for identification of noise - an application for car engines
Masatsugu Sakurai

アブストラクト
Identification results of noise from car engine using a computational system are described here. The concept of the system is based on the model of human auditory-brain system [Y. Ando. Architectural Acoustics -Blending Sound Sources, Sound Fields, and Listeners-, AIP Press/Springer-Verlag, New York 1998], which includes the autocorrelation function (ACF) and interaural crosscorrelation function (IACF) mechanisms and the specialization of the human cerebral hemispheres. The system consists of the software of a laptop computer, and a receiver with dual channel microphones. The software is developed to measure the physical factors in noise fields and the characterization of the regional environment noise. There are four orthogonal factors extracted from the ACF of the noise source, F(0), te, t1 and f1. Also there are three spatial factors, IACC, tIACC, and WIACC. These factors may be utilized for the identification of the noise source as a timbre difference. Results show that the identification of the noise sources of different car-engines made here is satisfactory.
