About this manual
This program manual is written for DSSF3. But it is also helpful in using RAL, RAD, or RAE. These programs are the older version of DSSF3 and they share basically the same functions. See Function list to know available features in each version of the program.
How to use the program in the actual measurement is explained in the Operation Guide. Measurement reports by use of DSSF3 (also RAL, RAD, RAE) are given in the following application note. It covers a wide range of application. You will find a relevant instruction for your work. Click the link below.
Step by step instructions for Impulse response and Running ACF are also available. Reference Manual explains the meanings and functions of each item of the program. Some technical information are provided in Appendix. Questions and answers received from our users may also help. If you have further questions, please contact us.
How to start Realtime Analyzer
Realtime Analyzer has easy to use and powerful measurement capabilities. Even if you have few knowledge and experience of sound measurement, you can start the measurement by just clicking the "Start" button on the measurement windows. Complicated settings can be ignored at first, because these are set by the program automatically. Signal generator, oscilloscope, FFT analyzer would tell you many things about sound. As a next step, try to release the automatic settings and adjust parameters manually. Resultant waveforms may change. You will understand how the parameters affect the measurement result. If you don't understand, follow the instructions in the operation guides and the measurement reports. You can learn how to use RA step by step.
NOTE: As for RAL, RAD, and RAE, no future upgrade is scheduled. But DSSF3 is always updated for incorporating new functions. See DSSF3 news for the update information. Users of DSSF3 are recommended to perform the online update to keep your software up to date. When you find some difference between the program and the manual, please understand that the manual will be updated later.
